My Experience

As a "System Technician 1" in Information Technology. I worked in alongside 7 other team members and provided phone, email and onsite support for all City employees. 

My role was primarily ticket based initiated by phone or email as well as to support a long term tech refresh project. Duties consisted of, but not limited to some of the below examples.
  • Initial support contact for support services.
  • Provide JLT and ToughBook support for Law Enforcement Patrol Vehicles and Fire Department Trucks.
  • Performed manual imaging using Norton Ghost as PXE Boot was not deployed at the time.
  • Troubleshoot Desktop, Laptop, Network and Printer related issues along with any and all software.
  • Install, Reinstall, Remove software.
  • Provide remote support using Remote Desktop
  • Virus detection and removal.
  • Perform Active Directory services such as adding accounts, password resets, adding machines to AD.
  • Performed Hard Drive destruction duties using a degaussing machine.
At the 1 year mark my contracted had ended in excellent standing.
